Rapsodo is extremely excited to announce the launch of Club Data for MLM2PRO Premium Members! With the launch of Club Data, the MLM2PRO is now more powerful than ever - giving golfers the ability to track both ball and club metrics using radar and dual-camera technology. To make the most of these new insights, proper setup is key. This quick guide walks you through how to align your unit, level it correctly, and place the ball in the optimal hitting zone for the most accurate data possible. We also have a video available here!
Why Setup Matters
Every MLM2PRO is factory-calibrated for precision. But no two practice setups are the same. Even small differences—like a tilted mat or uneven net—can affect your data. To get the most accurate results, it’s important to follow a few simple setup steps. This is especially key now that MLM2PRO Premium Membership allows for units to capture both pre- and post-impact frames for club and ball data metrics.
Step 1: Alignment
Start by aligning the MLM2PRO with your intended target line. Use the alignment aid on top of the MLM2PRO. When you begin a session, you'll see a projected center line on-screen to help with targeting.

Step 2: Unit Level
Once aligned, the next step is leveling the unit. The MLM2PRO uses its internal accelerometer to determine how level the unit is when the session starts. If the device is titled too far forward or backward, it may throw off the hitting area and results in missing or inaccurate data.
Pro tips for leveling:
- Always start the session with the device already on the tripod for the most accurate reading.
- If you reposition the unit after starting the session, give it a moment to adjust in the app.
- The mobile app now provides real-time tilt feedback, so you'll know when you're in the green zone.
If you’re struggling getting the unit within the level range:
- Try a different surface
- Use a tee, ball marker or shim under a tripod leg
- Use a leveling stand if needed
As a final check: Make sure the ball is placed 7.5 feet (250 cm) from the unit --about two paces--to give the MLM2PRO the proper depth for tracking both club and ball data accurately.
Too Far Forward:

Step 3: Ball Placement
To accurately capture Club Data, the MLM2PRO now records frames before and after impact. That means proper ball placement essential for full-swing tracking. In order to capture club data, the ball must be placed 7.5 feet (250 cm) from the unit--about two paces--to give the MLM2PRO the proper depth for tracking both club and ball data accurately.
To make this easy, we have introduced a Club Data Hitting Zone overlay:
- The Orange Box - Place the ball to capture both club and ball data
- The Yellow Box - Capture ball flight data only
You can view this via:
- Impact Vision - shows both the orange and yellow hitting zone overlayed
- Shot Vision - Use the icon in the bottom-right to toggle between hitting zones.
**Note: Club Data zones vary based on dexerity. be sure to set your dexterity (left or right handed) before starting a session by going to Profile > App Settings.
